The photo’s and comments below will show how the garden area develops. I use the term garden very loosely, really the house is surrounded by the wood, but previous owners have created beds that border a path that meanders uphill, along the back of the house, passed the summerhouse and then back downhill to the other side of the house. I’ve managed to clear one bed, known as the white bed which I’ve mentioned previously. The other bed I’ve cleared is near the summerhouse. It’s very steep and peppered with giant slate boulders, which has made planting interesting.
The weather outside tonight is beautiful, so I thought I’d take some photos of some of the flowers that are looking great right now. I wish this blog had a smell facility because some of them are intoxicating, particularly the mock organge or philadelphus.
